Kayla Suleminian and David Moghavem can often be found tearing it up on the dance floor or spending time with members of our community - and that is exactly what brought them together. Fate would have it that the two met one another at Milken alumnus Matt Khorsandi ‘11’s 25th birthday party, David attending to celebrate his dear friend, and Kayla attending as Kaylin Malekmehr ‘17’s plus one. The couple danced the night away together, and once David asked her out, the rest was history.

The couple noted that their connection to the sense of community and values instilled in them through their time at Milken drew them to one another. Their instant connection was filled with reminiscence over their shared upbringing and high school experiences, and a passion for their shared values that inspired an unparalleled connection, and will lead their beautiful future together. Kayla and David united in marriage in May 2022.

Currently, David is working at Trion as the Director of Acquisitions, and Kayla is a Medical Assistant at a cosmetic dermatology office, and is finishing her prerequisites with the goal of attending Physician Assistant school in the next year.
