Junior Presented with Award for National Essay Contest

Congratulations to Aaron Feldman '18!
In July, Aaron was announced as the winner of the Norman E. Alexander Award for Excellence in Jewish Student Writing. On October 6, he was recognized before an audience of students, faculty, and administrators during the Writes of Passage event, in which he was the Spotlight Poet.

Mel Wacks, head of the Jewish American Hall of Fame, presented Aaron with a commemorative silver medal and the $500 Grand Prize. Aaron's award-winning essay on Leonard Adleman, the inventor of biocomputing, appears on the Fresh Ink for Teens website.

Congratulations also go to Lexi Freund '17 and Kayla Cohen '17 who were finalists in the essay contest.
