Performing Arts Department Scores Big at Music Festival
Milken boasted an impressive showing at the WorldStrides Heritage Music Festival in Anaheim.
Despite facing tough competition at the event, in which orchestras, bands, and choirs from schools all over the country competed for ratings and rankings, the vocal ensembles performed better than they ever had in the past. Additionally, the Jazz Ensemble and Middle School Chamber Orchestra, who competed at the Festival for the first time, earned top honors for their performances, while Ariel Bina '15 (vocal) and Jordan Reifkind '18 (guitar) were both recognized for their individual performances.
The performing arts department attended the festival as a full department for the first time, providing an amazing bonding and learning experience for the students. Kol Hakavod!
