POSITION OVERVIEW
The Milken Mart Support Staff is a full-time position supporting the Operations Department.  Middle School and Upper School Milken Marts focus primarily on Mart food sales, service, and delivery. Mart Support Staff assists in receiving food deliveries, restocking mart inventory, storefront items, cashiering, tracking inventory and all food-related items for Milken Mart, and occasionally working with other departments to assist with food ordering and delivery. Support Staff must follow all food handling guidelines while adhering to operational safety standards and protocols. The Milken Mart Support Staff will report to the Milken Mart Manager.
  
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Move inventory stock between mart locations and storage.
  • Receive and document deliveries from vendors.
  • Work with other Mart staff, parent volunteers, and vendors. 
  • Use the Point of Sale System with some training
  • Be familiar with how to use Google Docs, Sheets, and other store-front type software.
  • Restock the marts as needed.
  • Keep the mart and surrounding areas clean and organized.
  • Keep storage organized according to First in/First out guidelines.
  • Oversee inventory by passing the order to the Manager to place, tracking stock, recording supplies, and labeling new items. 
  • Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and protocols when executing daily duties and responsibilities.
  • Provides excellent customer service to the Milken School community.
  • Ability to operate effectively in the absence of direct supervision.
  • Take the initiative to stay busy with Mart-related responsibilities.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or equivalent. 
  • Food handler certification or obtain it within 90 days of employment. Time will be provided to complete during the work day.
  • Valid California Driver’s License.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and execute while under time constraints.
  • Able to effectively communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Mac and Win OS experience is strongly preferred but will provide basic training to ramp up on the second OS.
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively shift priorities.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. 
  • Safely operate a dolly to move products in volume.
  • Able to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work with and around people positively and cooperatively.

Standard Hours
Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
*Hours may vary depending on events
 
SALARY RANGE: $20.00- $22.00/hr
