Students Walk to Fight AIDS

Milken students were out in force at AIDS Walk Los Angeles.
Sixty-one Milken students participated in the 30th annual 10k AIDS Walk Los Angeles on October 12. Made up of students representing every upper school class and a good number of members of the MilkenKnights robotics team, the Milken Kids Who Care team surpassed their team fundraising goal by over $1,000 and still has until November 1 to finish fundraising.

Co-chairs, Jared Hasen-Klein ’18, who designed the Milken AIDS Walk t-shirts, which were sold as a fundraiser, and Avia Cohen ’15, were both Star Walkers, meaning they raised $1,000 or more!

Kids Who Care is a coalition of several local high schools and has achieved the elite Gold Team status, which is given to the top 20 fundraising teams.
