Senior Wins Student Journalism Award

Gabi Kamran ’15 won the grand prize in the American Jewish Heritage Month writing contest.
She is the first recipient of the Norman E. Alexander Award for Excellence in Jewish Student Writing. The director of the Jewish-American Hall of Fame, Mel Wacks, presented Gabi with a $500 dollar check and a commemorative Alexander Award medal during the Town Meeting on October 1. Gabi’s powerful winning essay was on Betty Friedan. Congratulations Gabi!
