Speakers Shine at TEDxMilkenHighSchool

We hosted our first ever TEDx conference,TEDxMilkenHighSchool, on Sunday, February 9.
With 100 people in attendance, and a global audience watching on the web, our speakers addressed the conference’s unifying theme, “The New Order.”

Daniella Wenger ('14) organized and acted as host for this inaugural event. Our keynote speaker was Mike Milken, whose talk “The Promise of the 21st Century” focused on technology (especially bioscience) and its impact on the world around us. Dominic Kalms, Milken Alum (‘06) spoke on "Your Butterfly Effect: Actions in an Interconnected World," and Milken faculty member Dr. Russell Steinberg spoke on "Music and the End of Time."

  • “The Engineering of Art” | Nathan Hakkakzadeh (‘14)

  • “Standing Between Bubbles” | Robyn Rose Valentine (‘15)
Our students and members of our community spoke passionately, articulately, and with great poise on topics of enormous significance.
